High School

Message from the coordinator

CSJ is characterized for being an institution where family values prevail among us, making this place a second home for all of us. We spend many hours of our lives together, growing, not only intellectually, but also morally and in terms of brotherhood.

In our classrooms we allow students to share their opinions, which allows peers to learn different perspectives, question, accept and validate others.

When we see that education is not preparation for life, but life itself... we realize how important it is to belong or to be in the right place.

At the CSJ, especially in High School, we look after not only the intellectual development of our students, but also their self-esteem and emotional health, as this allows them to learn in a healthy environment. A student who is happy,

Matilde Vásquez

Coordinadora de Secundaria

who is self-confident and protected, is a student who learns easily. It is an open book with blank pages to write on and leave footprints.

With this conception of education, students feel listened to and in return learn to listen to others. They are taken into account, going from occupying a place in the world to being an important part of it. The students that today pass through our spaces are like a fundamental brick that gains life and a base to the foundations where little by little a solid construction is built.

The educational model we develop here focuses on the student acquiring skills. It is a very playful school, which not only pays attention to the results, but also to the process. We respect the rhythm of each child, in which we can say that we watch over the development of each intelligence and highlight the aptitudes of our students. We integrate all those who wish to belong to our big family, thus creating a great sense of belonging.

Finally, I can say that a person's knowledge is not measured by the number of pages read, nor by the number of points obtained. Studying, learning and being part of the Saint John project gives you the opportunity to make a difference once you finish your studies.

English Language Coordinator

Students, parents and guardians – welcome to Colegio Saint John.

Students, our vision is to empower you to develop the practical and academic English language skills you will need to succeed at school, in further education or quite simply, in life. You will learn in a safe and supportive environment where the values of respect, responsibility, proactivity, and social awareness are clearly visible through the actions of students and staff. Our teachers are well prepared, providing a fun, creative, and lively learning environment that will motivate children to explore, improve and exponentially expand their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills and develop their intercultural knowledge.

Parents and guardians, if you have a child between the ages of five and eleven, it is recommended that you motivate them into their personal English learning experience through as many means as you may have: speaking to them, listening to them read, watching English TV programs, playing board or video games and even traveling. All of these stupendous vessels will serve as extended applications and represent a significant exposure to the language. Moreover, feel free to approach our teachers and get personalized suggestions that will help you understand how your child learns best. Furthermore, if you have a child aged between twelve and seventeen, our school has diverse intercultural initiatives which will allow the adolescent to come in contact with the English language in a real-world scenario. International Spelling Bee, Model United Nations Simulations, Foreign Exchange Programs, international field trips, and the British English Olympics; we count on you to grant them the opportunity to participate in these once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

I look forward to meeting you and seeing your progress while you are part of the CSJ family.
